"Cathedral" by Raymond Carver

I think it would've been different only because a cathedral to some people is a calm/spiritual place. Where some people even come together to learn about themselves and others. In my opinion the fact that the awkwardness was so high with the husband probably only made the author believe they both needed something to bring them together and on the same page to conclude the story. Drawing something you can't really describe because it's such a magnificent thing or gives you such a great feeling is something that once you start doing you start adding all the pleasant things you can think off and you start getting creative. "Cathedral" to me is the proper name of the story because that's where it happened. Regardless to the beautiful stories and memories the wife had about Robert, the husband couldn't see passed that and only felt uncomfortable because of Robert's disability. At the moment of the drawing it wasn't about being uncomfortable or over analyzing situations. It was about having a product of two ideas and being on the same level.
